Agency Agreement for Property Tax Representation


This Agreement is made between ProperTax, LLC, a California limited liability company (“ProperTax”) and the undersigned Client for the purpose of authorizing ProperTax to prepare, file and pursue for Client an application (or any other papers required) to obtain a reduction in the assessed value of Client's Property (“Application”) for the real property identified below (“Client’s Property”). Agent's authority includes the filing of an application to the county assessor for a temporary reduction in assessed value of Client's Property and/or an appeal of the assessment of Client's Property to the county appeals board.


1. ProperTax shall be Client's exclusive agent to prepare and submit the Application to the assessor and county appeals board and for representing Client through the application and appeals process.


2. Client agrees to reasonably cooperate with ProperTax.


3. Only upon receipt by Client of either a property tax refund or a reduction of property taxes obtained under this Agreement, Client agrees to pay ProperTax fifty percent (50%) of only the first year’s property tax savings, whether received in a refund or in a decreased property tax assessment. This fee shall be payable within 30 days of the date of the lowered property tax assessment.


4. Client may add or delete property to this Agreement at any time, with the same conditions applying. ProperTax agrees to continue to represent Client's property each year until Client notifies ProperTax otherwise, in writing, with the same conditions applying.


5. Client is aware that a property tax reduction may be valid only for the applicable property tax year.


6. Client agrees to notify ProperTax of any delinquent and/or late tax payments, and/or any change in ownership or in the assessed value for the above referenced property.


7. Client agrees to return completed and signed Agent Authorization within seven (7) days of submitting this agreement.
